Menu left Activities Cooperation In 2005 the Directorate General of State Forests continues its co-operation with the foresters and professional hunters from Turingy (Germany) following the co-operation agreement concluded by the forestry agencies of Lithuania and Germany in 1999. According to this agreement one graduate from Kaunas College of Forestry and Environmental Engineering was delegated to the Schwarcburgh Forestry Academy for three-year studies. Besides, the refresher courses for 26 Lithuanian forestry specialists (foresters) were organised on September 20 - 24, 2004 and September 27 - October 1, 2004 in Schwarcburgh Forestry Academy (Turingy) under the program proposed by the General Forest Enterprise. On 2 - 5 September 2004 the Directorate General of State Forests organised the reception of the seven-person delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Environment of Turingy. The delegation members were introduced with the activities of Kretinga, Šilutė and Telšiai forest enterprises and the National Park of Curionian Spit.
